A letter
An update on my journey of learning
Hello everyone, it’s been a second. You might have noticed that i haven’t been creating newsletters for a little while. I’m writing this to share why.
First, i just want to let you know that i have stopped payments, so paid subscribers are not being charged anymore. Just an FYI :)
Secondly, i would like to share all, or some of the things i have learned while starting and running this newsletter.
I have learned that i have a lot of amazing people who will support me and my dreams
I have learned about all the complexities of starting a business
I have learned how to operate Substack and Stripe
I have learned how to go through the ideating process
I have learned how to use mentors to help me succeed
I have learned that writing newsletters, even if they are short, takes a lot of time
I have learned that i hate making instagram posts to promote this newsletter
I have learned, through my business program, that there are a lot of teens who are doing amazing things
I have learned that i love talking with people about health more than writing about it
I have learned that starting a business is a process
I have learned that my time is valuable, and that I’m in a phase of life where I don’t need to make money to survive. Instead, I get to follow my passions. In this time, without all the adult pressures and responsibilities, I’ve decided not to stick with something just because I think I should, but to try things, see if they’re for me, and go from there.
In the case of this newsletter, i’ve found that it doesn’t make me happy, and it doesn’t bring me alive like talking to someone about health in-person does. I have learned that i don’t think that this is the way i will help people.
To be honest, i feel like i’m failing somethings, but i’m choosing to look at it like this instead:
This newsletter has helped me learn valuable skills that i will use in the future and has taught me that online writing is not for me.
I feel so truly honored and grateful that you all have supported me.
I want to give a special shout out to:
❤️ NikiAnne Feinberg
❤️ Leigh Blessington
❤️ Molly Stebbins
❤️ Emily Colwell
❤️ Julie Burke
❤️ Leslie Meyers
❤️ Lilly Mangel
❤️ Jenny Kobin
❤️ Jojo Yonce
❤️ Liyana Silver
All of these wonderful people have supported me and my dream not only through their paid subscriptions but simply by being in my life. Your support means the world to me. Truly. It means so much to have a community of people around me that uplift and help fuel my dreams!
I also want to make a shout out to ❤️ Kelly Hoogenakker for being an advisor to me, for sitting down and sharing her knowledge. She also writes a Substack and is a wonderful holistic health coach + energy healer. I highly recommend checking out her Substack.
To ❤️ Leigh and Doug Blessington, my parents, thank you for helping me through every step of this journey. I am eternally grateful. And to the entire ❤️ Prequel team, especially Katarina, thank you for all your help and wisdom.
This is not the end. Ideas are forming, and my passion for health is not going anywhere. I plan to follow it. I’ll be in touch and keep you all updated.
Thank you all again!
Love,
Wiinna

This is a beautiful post, Wiinna! It takes tremendous courage and self-awareness to realize when you’re climbing a mountain and it’s time to turn around and go a different way.
I am glad you are giving yourself grace and time to explore and play and try new things while you honor the unique passions and curiosities that come up for you. You are brilliant, inquisitive and wonderfully engaged in the world - which will always be your teacher. I am so excited to see where your next adventure will take you and to hear about the new discoveries you make along the way.
You are without a doubt one human who will change the world for the better. In fact, you are already doing so in ways you may not yet be aware of.
And thank you for the sweet acknowledgement. I will always be cheering you on, Wiinna! <3
